Outside the walls of the town of Anguillara Sabazia (MRI) is the complex of S. Francesco, formed by a church and a Franciscan monastery. The setting of the church has one nave, with vaulted, typical of Franciscan churches in the thirteenth century. A series of frescoes by Domenico Velandi (Lorenzo da Viterbo School) adorn the walls and the presbytery. The convent was centered on a courtyard with a central pit and a portico with arches and brick pillars. The vaults of the cloister were originally painted with various scenes from the life of St. Francesco, now completely disappeared.
